Paula Deen is Coming to the Great Smoky Mountains!

Have you heard about the new restaurant making its way to Pigeon Forge? Paula Deen, celebrity chef, recently shared information about one of her restaurants opening in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will make its home at The Island in Pigeon Forge, in the same area as the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel and other fantastic restaurants and activities. The restaurant is projected to have nearly 20,000 square feet of space, so everyone will be able to get together and enjoy a truly southern-cooked meal!

The developers of The Island are excited to partner with Paula Deen. The restaurant will feature all of the traditional southern fixins’ while also offering a few ‘healthier’ selections. Even if you’re not looking to have butter on everything, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will have something for everyone. You will even be able to find something a little less buttery at the restaurant.

Other Celebrities Bring New Restaurants in Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge is welcoming Paula Deen’s restaurant as well as a couple of other celebrity-themed eateries. Over the course of the next few months, visitors will see a Margaritaville restaurant at The Island, and a Hard Rock Cafe in Pigeon Forge.

For families who are visiting before the new arrivals, there are plenty of places to dine throughout Pigeon Forge. Specifically at The Island attraction, you can enjoy Timberwood Grill, Mellow Mushroom or a variety of other snack shops.

This is the first restaurant that Paula Deen has announced since her recent controversy. It’s sure to be a big hit in the Smoky Mountains, and we are excited to have the ‘Queen of Southern Cooking’ sharing her recipes in the area.
