There are quite a few new things to do in the Smoky Mountains in 2021, and we want to share some of them with you! From new places to eat to new exciting activities, you will have a blast trying them all. Here are the top 6 new things to do in the Smoky Mountains in 2021:

1. The Appalachian

the appalachianOne of the newest restaurants in town is The Appalachian. This upscale eatery is known for using local ingredients and turning them into interesting twists on country cuisine. It is located in downtown Sevierville, and the restaurant has a huge outdoor patio. You’ll find dry aged meat, glazed duck, roasted chicken, and so much more on the menu. If you enjoy fine dining, this is one restaurant you have to try.

2. SkyFly: Soar America at The Island

The Island in Pigeon Forge has a ton of fun activities the whole family will love, and if you love thrills, you need to check out their moving theater ride! SkyFly: Soar America is one of the new things to do in the Smoky Mountains. This ride combines a state-of-the-art ride with a beautiful movie that includes several natural wonders and historic landmarks. During the ride, you’ll experience sounds, smells, and movement as you enjoy the film.

3. Roll On In

If food fusion is your thing, then you need to go to Roll On In located in Sevierville. This new thing to do in the Smoky Mountains is an Asian and Tex Mex fusion restaurant. You can try unique foods, such as the popular sushi burrito or wonton nachos. Other items you’ll want to try include wonton tacos, sushi bowls, and Mexican street corn. You can choose items from a menu or create your own. After you eat sushi burritos, grab some nitrogen ice cream at Buzzed Bull, which is located in the same building!

4. Pigeon Forge Chairlift

Everyone knows about the chairlift in Gatlinburg, but Pigeon Forge is getting one soon! Pigeon Forge Chairlift is coming to the area in 2021, and it will be located next to Pigeon Forge Snow. Kids, teens, and adults will enjoy this leisurely ride up the hill, and you’ll be amazed by the views as you come back down. You’ll look out at the Smoky Mountains and the heart of Pigeon Forge from the chairlift. Construction on this new thing to do in the Smoky Mountains will start soon.

5. Damn Yankees

This restaurant will have casual food, such as burgers, chicken wings, and more. They will have over 16 kinds of beer on tap, and Damn Yankees will be a place where people can come for quality food and time together. There hasn’t been an official opening date announced for Damn Yankees as of right now.

6. CoasterKart at Rowdy Bear Ridge

Even though Rowdy Bear Ridge recently came to Pigeon Forge, they are already adding to their fun things to do! You may have ridden a mountain coaster, but you haven’t seen one like this. On the CoasterKart, there are electrical bars installed in the track to power the karts. A hand brake is used to control the speed, so fly around the track or take an easy ride around! Ride by yourself or sit side-by-side with family and friends in the double carts.
