Learn All About the Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament

Whether you’re a local or a tourist to Gatlinburg, the annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is event not to be missed. Open to both children and adults, this tournament promises to be a challenging good time that will reward participants with numerous prizes. Known as the largest trout tournament in the Smokies, this event is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Those who wish to register for either can do so by phone, mail, or online. Also, residents and visitors should note that both local and state fishing regulations will be observed during the tournament. Anyone who will be registering for the tournament will need a special permit which can be obtained at the Welcome Center located on 441 South.
