The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is becoming a popular stop for everyone in the area, including locals and vacationers. The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the first of its kind in Tennessee and the longest downhill ride in the United States.
Featuring beautiful mountain views and scenery, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster offers a one mile ride through the mountainside of Wears Valley. As visitors slowly ride to the top, they can take a look at all of the great views while preparing for the thrill of riding downhill. The downhill portion speeds visitors up to 25 m.p.h. downhill, giving riders a real thrill in the Smokies.
