There are so many new things to do in the Smoky Mountains you won’t want to miss out on! New activities are constantly coming to the area, and we want to share some of the top ones with you. From delicious new food places to tours of the area, you’ll love trying all of these new activities. Check out these top 6 new things to do in the Smoky Mountains:
1. Redneck Comedy Bus Tour
One of the newest attractions in the area is the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour. They will drive you around the Smoky Mountains for 2 hours, providing a side-splitting comedy tour as you go. You’ll love laughing as you learn about the area, and they will help you find out if you’re cut out to be a hillbilly or a redneck. This attraction is perfect for kids and adults, so take your family on the tour the next time you’re in town!
2. Black Bear Village at Anakeesta
Anakeesta has so much to offer already, but they’re expanding again and adding new things to do in the Smoky Mountains. Black Bear Village has a ton to offer guests. You can try food at the Cliff Top Restaurant or Kephart Cafe. You’ll be able to take in mountain views while you sit on the patio and enjoy your food. The Mercantile is a store with a ton of souvenirs you can take home to remember your trip. Plus, there’s a splash pad where kids can cool off on a hot day. Anakeesta also has a new observation tower where you can see all kinds of mountain views, and the kids will want to check out the Treeventure Challenge Course.
3. Gatlinburg SkyTrail
The Gatlinburg SkyLift Park has a ton of attractions people love to check out. You ride up to the top of the mountain on a chair lift, and then get off onto the SkyDeck to enjoy beautiful mountain views. The SkyBridge is another popular attraction at the park, giving you thrills as you walk over glass panels that look down into the forest below. Now, the park is adding the Gatlinburg SkyTrail, which is a scenic walkway that provides you with beautiful views. You’ll walk around the park and under the SkyBridge. The first phase has been completed but isn’t open yet, and the second phase will be opened later this winter.
4. Cream & Sugar Sweet Shoppe
If you want something sweet, you should go to the Cream & Sugar Sweet Shoppe. This ice cream shop is a part of the Tower Shops at the Mountain Mile in Pigeon Forge. You can get rolled ice cream or have it traditionally scooped and topped with all your favorites. Plus, they make all kinds of unique milkshakes you’ll want to try.
5. Cruze Farm
Another new thing to do in the Smoky Mountains is Cruze Farm. This local ice cream shop started in Knoxville and has come to the Smoky Mountains. All of the milk used to make the ice cream is from a dairy farm. The flavors constantly change, so if you see one you want to try, you should get it! You can also get your cones dipped, cups topped with your favorite toppings, or try one of the other treats they have!
6. Wears Valley Social
Have you always wanted to visit a food truck gathering? Now you can at Wears Valley Social! You can park and enjoy being outdoors at several picnic tables with umbrellas. There are several food trucks that come every weekend, so you can try all kinds of food. Sometimes there is live music and arts and crafts vendors there too.
